ABOUT DAVID KLEIN:
David Klein's most notable contributions lie in the realm of travel advertising. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Klein left an indelible mark by designing and illustrating numerous posters for Howard Hughes' Trans World Airlines (TWA).
 
Klein's distinctive use of vibrant colours and abstract representations of famous landmarks came to epitomise the state of poster art during that era. This abstract rendition of Times Square in New York City for TWA is possibly his most famous work, and the original is now on permanent display in the New York Museum of Modern Art.
 
Klein’s advertising posters capture the essence of the exhilarating era of the 1960s jet age, symbolising the excitement and allure of air travel during that time.
